CVCA wants Highlands East residents to consult before building

The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority wants to help Highlands East residents made good building decisions.

CVCA Regulations Officer Robert Cole was at Wednesday’s council meeting to talk about regulations when it comes to building properties in the municipality. He says his goal is to make sure residents build responsibly.

Cole also says the conservation authority doesn’t want to discourage development. However, he adds that he has heard many stories of homeowners getting unwanted surprises by not reaching out to conservation officials.

The CVCA is responsible for the area in Highlands East north of Paudash Lake. If you want to get in contract with conservation officials, you can call the authority at 613-472-3137.
