A date for Bancroft’s public budget meeting has been set.
Residents will have a chance to weigh-in and ask questions about the current draft 2018 budget, which is targeting a 3.6 per cent tax drop this year. This would equal out to taxes going down by about $66 a year for the median property assessed at $142,000.
Mayor Paul Jenkins wants all residents to attend to find out what cutting taxes will mean for them. Jenkins says the meeting will also be a chance to find out what’s going on in the town and what its plans are for the future. The public budget meeting will be held at 7:00pm on May 1st at Club 580.
