Maynooth’s Earth Day clean-up event has been postponed.
Hastings Highlands Councillor Tracy Hagar says local residents and businesses are invited to help clean up garbage along roadsides in the community every year on Earth Day, which is this Sunday. But Hagar says this year’s clean-up event had to be delayed because of the weather.
The event has been rescheduled to 3:00pm on Sunday, May 6th. Hagar says it’s more than just a way to help beautify the community.
Hagar says the event is also a great way to get to know your neighbours. Gloves and bags will be provided for the clean-up. There will also be a free barbeque at around 5:00pm for anyone who helps out.
