Hastings Highlands Council is going to have a fill a vacant seat.
This comes as Bangor, Wicklow & McClure Councillor Frank Hickey has been removed from his seat at the table. The municipality says Hickey did not file a mandatory financial statement after the last election. He was appointed to the role in September, 2017.
Because of this, council will now have to replace him. Next steps will be looked into during Wednesday’s council meeting, which starts at 9:00am at the Hastings Highlands Centre in Maynooth. After that, council will have 60 days to make its next move. Click here to see the full agenda.
