Vista Radio Raises One Million Dollars for Charity

Vista Radio with 38 radio stations broadcasting across 67 transmitters in three Provinces and the Northwest Territories completed its inaugural Million Dollars for Charity Week with an overall goal of generating one million dollars for local charities.
With all fundraising efforts focused on the week ending December 12, each Vista radio station selected its own local charity to support. From food banks to churches to hospital foundations to soup kitchens all Vista radio stations and all 300 Vista radio staff participated.
The response from our communities was more than we ever could have imagined as we ended the week with donations in food, cash and toys totalling $1,099,426.50. An incredible total that will now go to work within the 38 charity groups Vista Radio worked with this year.
In Bancroft, the Moose helped raise over $17,000 for Kids in Need Charity.
A huge “hats off” to the entire Vista Radio team for giving their time, energy and boundless passion to these wonderful local causes, to our charity partners for their endless enthusiasm and to our communities that came out in droves to support us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
