Quick action by area residents resulted in two youths being arrested for breaking into cars and stealing from them. Early Wednesday homeowners on Islandview Drive in Otonabee-South Monaghan, saw the two entering vehicles along the street and called the Peterborough County OPP, who arrested the culprits at the scene. They are charged with multiple counts of theft. Police also have a number of stolen items they are trying to return to the proper owners. Anyone with information about these thefts is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
