A Bancroft man accused of driving recklessly faces impaired driving charges.
Bancroft OPP says it received a report about a vehicle driving in an unsafe way on the Hastings Heritage Trail on Saturday afternoon. Officers pulled the vehicle over, and suspected that the driver had been drinking.
The 50-year-old now faces two impaired driving charges, along with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle. The suspect will appear in Bancroft court in June. His driver’s licence has also been suspended and his vehicle has been impounded.
