Someone has broken into the local food bank and stolen approximately $500 worth of food. Police say that sometime overnight on December 17th; unknown persons broke into the North Hastings Community Cupboard on Madawaska Street in Bancroft. Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call the Bancroft OPP or Crime Stoppers. There has been no comment by anyone from the food bank.
