Even with the coming of the New Year, it is not time yet to take your snow machines onto the trails. The recent warm weather has shut down all trails in our area. The ground, waterways and swamps are not frozen, and there is not enough snow base to protect you or your sled. There are only a couple of trails open in north-central Ontario, north-east of Sault St. Marie and north of Timmins.
