Police charge man after reports of shots fired in Tudor and Cashel

A man has been charged with a number of weapons-related offences after an incident in Tudor and Cashel.

Central Hastings OPP says it received reports of shots being fired near Wolf Lake Road last Thursday night. The Bancroft detachment was also involved in the investigation.

Later that night, the 24-year-old suspect was found in an SUV on a trail near Wolf Lake. The Belleville man now faces charges including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, intimidation, and careless use of a firearm.

Nobody was hurt because of the incident, and police say there is no concern for public safety.
