Madawaska Valley begins its first of three days of budget workshops today.
The workshops are expected to run all day today, tomorrow and Thursday at the township offices and will be open to the public. The finance and administration committee will meet to determine the wants and needs for the 2018 fiscal year.
Mayor Kim Love feels one of the biggest items on the budget could be the roads department because of some projects on the horizon.
Love says the budget this year is being done later than previous years because of short-staffing within the township.
The meetings run from 9:00am until 4:00pm today, tomorrow and Thursday in Barry’s Bay council chambers.
