Although there was only one impaired-related death this season, during the OPP’s Annual Festive RIDE campaign, compared to three last year, the police are still disappointed with the numbers of charges laid this year. 593 impaired charges were laid, and 485 Warn Range suspensions were issued this season compared to 587 impaired charges and 504 Warn Range suspensions last year. The OPP is asking you to be responsible and to stop anyone who is thinking of driving when impaired, and reporting anyone who is driving impaired.
