With the warm weather brings the return of summer camps to Madawaska Valley.
This year, camps will run for five weeks between July and August, and will feature a variety of activities including sports, art and science.
Madawaska Valley Fitness Facility Coordinator Rhea Sabatine says it’s a good things to keep kids involved during the summer months.
Sabatine, who also grew up locally, says these summer camps are also a great way for kids to make new friends from neighbouring townships.
10 participants are needed for camps to run, with a maximum of 20. The day camps are available for children aged 6 to 13 years old and run weekdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Paul. J Yakabuski Community Centre.
