Canadian Safe Boating Council Want You to be Safe While on the Water

With free fishing available this weekend in Hastings County, the Canadian Safe Boating Council are reminding you to always have your Life-jacket on when out on the Water.

Speaking with the Director of the CSBC Ian Gilson, he told us that you should have enough Life-jackets on-board for everybody, not just yourself.

Gilson also reminded you to check your Life-jacket before going out on Water for rips and tears and also make sure that the buckles and straps tighten properly.

It’s also important to make sure you are focused on where you’re going. Even though you might see open Waters ahead, it’s important to make sure you stay focused and to not get distracted.

For more information on what you can do to keep yourself and others safe while out on the Water, visit the CSBC’s website.
