If you’re going away at all this summer, make sure that thieves don’t know about it.
That’s the message from OPP Constable Shawn Peever, who says if you’re going on vacation, it’s best not to post about it on social media until afterwards.
Peever says it’s a good idea to make your house look lived in while you’re gone, which means you might need some help from friends, family, or a trusted neighbour.
It’s also suggested you bring any valuables inside of your home to a safety deposit box for safe keeping until you’re back from your trip.
