News New Wheels, Water & Wings Event Goes to Benefit Local Charity SHARE ON: Mathew Reisler, staff Friday, Jun. 29th, 2018 Wheels, Water and Wings logo (Photo supplied by: Bancroft BIA) The annual Wheels, Water & Wings has been a highly anticipated event every year since it started 5 years ago. This year will be no different, but with a new event benefiting “Kids in Need.” “Kids in Need” is a charity set-up and run by the OPP locally to make sure that no child has to suffer through the Winter months without a snowsuit and will always have a gift under the Christmas tree. OPP Constable Philippe Regamey says it’s all about making sure kids have what they need to go outside during the Winter and, simply put, be kids. //www.mybancroftnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Regamey-kids-be-kids.wav The “Shake the Shield” Poker Run will be a 400 kilometre motorcycle ride through our region. Part of the proceeds from registration will go to the OPP’s “Kids in Need” charity. To register, go to Shake the Shield’s website here. If you can’t make it out, you can donate directly to “Kids in Need” by bringing a cheque to the Bancroft OPP detachment. Wheels, Water and Wings runs from July 6th to the 8th.
