Buyer Beware

The police are urging you to be cautious with door-to-door sales representatives. The OPP have become concerned after hearing a complaint about a monetary transaction with sales a water treatment company representative. You are asked to consider the following
1) Did you request this service or house call?
2) Do they have identification and have you verified with the company they claim to represent?
3) Don’t feel pressured to sign contracts or papers on the spot. Give yourself time to consider the offer and read over the documents.
4) Contact the company to verify any claims. Contact your existing provider to verify any warranty you may already have coverage with.
5) Never provide personal or financial information to an unsolicited sales person
