The Bancroft Hotel will be honoured next weekend with a historical plaque.
Earlier this year the Hastings County Historical Society announced they would be commemorating historical sites throughout Hastings County with seven plaques. The Bancroft Hotel has been announced as the first historical sites to receive the honour.
The ceremony is set for Saturday, July 14th at 2 PM at the site of the Hotel, which is now the Bancroft Eatery and Brew Pub. The ceremony will include stories about the hotel along with guest speakers and refreshments. It will be free to attend.
