The OPP’s aggressive driving campaign during Canada Day long weekend was a success.
Between Friday, June 29th and Monday, July 2nd, Bancroft OPP reported their officers issued 63 speeding tickets, 5 tickets for not wearing a seatbelt, 4 moving violations (following too close, disobeying stop sign) as well as 7 other Highway Traffic Act charges, 6 compulsory Automobile Act charges, 1 Liquor License Act charge and 1 Small Vessel Regulations charge.
The OPP set-up a Province-wide aggressive driving campaign hoping to make sure every enjoyed a safe Canada Day long weekend.
