Ontario Realtors Revving up for a Good Cause

For the 13th year, realtors across Ontario are putting down their pens and picking up their helmets for a good cause!

The Ontario Realtors Care Foundation Ride has been raising money for shelter-based charities and want to raise more this year! Their goal this year is to hit $30,000.

With Realtors from the Durham region, Peterborough and the Kawarthas, Quinte, Kingston and Bancroft participating Valerie Miles, who is a Committee Member with the Bancroft and Area Association of Realtors, is excited for the ride this year.

The ride starts in Oshawa. They’ll make their way to Bancroft for a Lunch break, then head to Belleville and they’ll end off in Kingston.

Dave Rattle is a realtor in Bancroft. He’s one of the 30+ motorcyclists taking part in the ride. This will be his first group ride after taking a 30 year hiatus from motorcycling. He says he’s always eager to help raise money for this ride and throughout the year.

Rattle is raising money for Breakfast for Learning and Summer Experience Camp. He added that that helping out charities that are under-funded is satisfying because he knows how much the money raised will help them. Rattle will join up with the group in Bancroft as they make their way to their final stop in Kingston.
