The Hastings County Historical Society have decided what seven historical places in Hastings County will be honoured with Bronze plaques.
In Fall of last year, HCHS asked all municipalities what historical sites in their area deserve a commemorative plaque.
The HCHS Board have already announced The Bancroft Hotel will be honoured on July 14th. Along with the Hotel, Thomasburg Spring, Chisholm’s Mill, Hamlet of Corbyville, MacKenzie’s Mills, Village of Lonsdale and Marmora Miners will also be honoured.
The historical plaque project started last year with five plaques being unveiled around downtown Belleville to commemorate the City’s 200th anniversary.
