MNRF Urging you to Keep Drones Away From Wildfires

If you own a drone, make sure it’s nowhere near forest fires.

That’s the message from Ministry of Natural Resources Fire Information Officer Shayne McCool, who says drones have to be at a distance when around wildfires.

McCool says that drones can cause a number of issues for personnel flying aircrafts during emergency situations.

Bancroft, Algonquin Park and all other municipalities within Hastings County are currently under a total fire ban. The MNRF currently has Hastings County listed as a high risk for forest fires on its interactive forest fire map.
