The race for Office in Bancroft is officially underway.
Town Clerk Lianne Sauter certified all the candidates that will be running in October’s Municipal election. Mayor Paul Jenkins and Councillor Mary Kavanagh were certified as candidates for Mayor of Bancroft.
Wayne Wiggins, Tracy McGibbon and Andra Kauffeldt were certified for Councillor of Ward 1. However, in Ward 2, only Charles Mullett and Barry McGibbon put their names down. One more candidate is needed.
Sauter sent out a notification that an additional nomination day will be on this Wednesday. Potential candidates will have until 2 PM to submit their name for nomination in Ward 2.
