HPEDSB Reminds You To Register Students For School If New To The Area

If you’re new to the area and have kids going to school this September, make sure they’re registered to do so.

That’s the message from the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board, which says registration dates could be different if your child is in elementary or secondary school.

If your child is between Junior Kindergarten and Grade Eight, you can register them the week of August 27th. If your child is in high school, the registration date varies by school. For North Hastings High School, new students can be registered from 9:00am to 3:00pm on August 28th and 29th.

When bringing your student to register for school, you must bring a birth certificate or passport as proof of their birthday, an immunization card and information about where the child is living.

The first day of school for the 2018-2019 HPEDSB school year is September 4th, you can find out more about registration here.
