Trying to avoid a RIDE check resulted in getting the attention of the police and arrested. On January 2nd, Bancroft OPP was conducting a RIDE Check in the Highland Grove area, and noticed a car that appeared to be avoiding the R.I.D.E. check. Police stopped the car and seized a small quantity of marijuana and some drug paraphernalia. One man and one male young person of Bancroft were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and failing to comply with probation. The third person, a youth from Dysart et al, was charged with possession of marijuana The names of the persons involved cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
