Bancroft OPP has made an arrest and laid charges in the case of an assault and robbery at a home on Chemaushgon Road in Bancroft. On January 19th, a man living at the home had been physically assaulted by another man and personal items were stolen. Police arrested a 26 year-old Bancroft man and have charged him with: Robbery using a firearm, break and enter, possession of a schedule 1 drug, carrying a concealed weapon, pointing a firearm, and possession of a firearm and ammunition contrary to a prohibition order. The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing on February 03rd, in Belleville.
