UPDATE: The rainfall warning has ended for the Bancroft area.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Bancroft area cautioning of heavy rain.
Areas could see up to 70mm of rain fall this morning with rain tapering off to scattered showers this afternoon.
Environment Canada also warns of flash floods and water pooling on roads; suggesting children and pets be kept away from creeks or rivers. They also warn if visibility becomes reduced while driving to slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
