Expect Warm, Humid Weather to end Summer Break for Kids

With one week left until students go back to school, Mother Nature is turning up the dial.

That’s according to Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson, who says humidex ratings could see the temperature feeling like it’s in the 30s this week. Coulson says today could feel up to 38 degrees, while humid weather will continue with a good chance of showers throughout the week.

In 2017 there was a September heat wave that hit the area as well, but Coulson says the late heat this year is more similar to 2016 when it was warmer than usual most of the Summer. He says this warm front likely won’t cause any severe weather outside of thunderstorms, and should break off towards the long weekend.
