Peterborough County OPP is investigating a cottage Break and Enter on Eels Lake Road. Unknown suspect(s) ransacked the cottage, and damaged a gun safe in an attempt to steal firearms. The suspects stole a green 2000 Polaris 500 Sportsman ATV from the garage. Police are suggesting that property owners, who access their cottages by Eels Lake Road, check their properties and report unlawful entries to police. Anyone with information about the break, enter and theft is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
