Most anglers checked during a two-day enforcement blitz in the Bancroft area were obeying Ontario’s fishery regulations. Conservation officers, along with a canine unit, checked anglers on a number of local lakes on January 31st and February 1st. Officers checked 177 anglers and laid 12 charges and 31 warnings for fishing violations. There were also charges laid and warnings given for snowmobile, liquor and conservation law infractions.
