Environment Canada Doesn’t Expect Fall Weather to be Much Different Than in Years Past

The leaves will change colours as usual, but the weather is expected to stay the same.

That’s what Gerald Cheng, an Environment Canada Meteorologist, says as he sees the long-term predictions for fall looking average. He isn’t expecting it to be much hotter or cooler than in years past. However, Cheng says that with autumn being a transitional season, the weather could vary from week-to-week in September, October and November. He mentions that the weather can change drastically if a cold front moves through the area, but it’s too early to tell if that’ll happen.

Cheng says it’s too early for Environment Canada to tell what the winter will be like, while the Farmer’ Almanac is calling for a “very cold” winter for Canada.
