Final Total for Moose FM’s Radiothon Announced

The final total for this year’s Moose FM Radiothon has been announced.

During the 2 day, 17 hour radiothon that happened in early August, $29,638.95 was raised. Since then, however, more money has trickled in by people who couldn’t get through during the radiothon. Another $3,110 was raised after the radiothon went off the air. That brings the total raised to $32,793.95.

The Auxiliary’s fundraising efforts continue next week. They will be partnering with Tim Horton’s for their annual Smile Cookie campaign. The cookies are $1 with all the money raised going towards the Hospital Auxiliary.

Later this year the Auxiliary will also  hold their “Festival of Trees” event. They will have businesses around town decorate trees then people will bid on them with the money also going to benefit the Hospital.

Debbie Speck, the President of the Auxiliary, says she is confident that they’ll hit their goal of raising $70,000. The money raised by the Auxiliary this year goes to fund the purchase of 10 IV Pumps for the Hospital.
