EQAO Test Results Released for North Hastings High School

EQAO test results for students at North Hastings High School have been released.

The test assesses grade nine students’ math skills and compare them to the rest of the school board and province. The provincial standard is 70-percent or higher. A quarter of the students at NHHS meet the provincial standard for applied math, while 37-percent of Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board students meet the requirement and 45-percent meet it province-wide this year. For NHHS, that’s down from the 36-percent mark they hit last year. The school board is down a little as well from 41-percent last year.

In academic math, 67-percent of students met the provincial requirement, which is also 70-percent. That’s down 1-percent from last year. The mark for students across the school board was up 2-percent to 78 and the province is up 1-percent to 84, according to the report.

40 students were tested for applied math while 43 were tested for academic math. That’s down for both as 53 students were tested last year.

The full EQAO report is available on their website.
