No Walk-out Planned by Students in Bancroft

Students in schools across Ontario will be walking out today, but classes in Bancroft will continue as normal.

That’s what Kerry Donnell, Communications Officer with the Hastings and Prince Edward Public School Board, is saying about the potential walk-out. The “March for our Education” walk-out was created to protest against the changes to sex education and indigenous curriculum by Premier Doug Ford. The group is calling on students to wear the colour purple and use the hasting #WeTheStudentsDoNotConsent during the protest.

North Grenville District High School in Kemptville sent out a letter yesterday saying that a potential walk-out is not sanctioned by the school. Multiple students at schools in Ottawa have said they will be walking out later today.
