Tentative Contract Reached Between Hastings & Prince Edward Public Health and Nurses’ Association

With four days until they’re in a legal strike position, Public Health and the Nurses’ Association have come to a tentative agreement.

On Tuesday, the forty nurses with the Ontario Nurses’ Association would have been in a legal position to strike. That’s because they’ve been without a contract since the New Year. However, Public Health and the ONA have come to a tentative contract agreement.

It came on the second day of mediation talks on Thursday.

A ratification vote is to be held later today by the ONA and Public Health will wait and decide on October 3rd whether or not to approve the deal.

My Bancroft Now has reached out to representatives from Hastings & Prince Edward Public Health and the Ontario Nurses’ Association, but have not heard back.
