With the municipal election coming on October 22nd, municipalities are making sure residents are ready to vote.
Bancroft will be sending out voter kits tomorrow. You’ll need to fill out the information needed and mail it back by October 11th or drop it off in-person at the Train Station on 8 Hastings Heritage Way. If you do it in-person, you have until 4:30 PM on the 22nd to drop it off.
If you haven’t received your ballot in the mail, you’re being asked to wait until October 10th to contact the municipal office. If you still haven’t gotten your ballot by then, talk to the town staff at the Train Station.
Also, Hastings Highlands has sent out a voter instruction letter to electors which will give you information of how to vote online or by phone.
The letters were mailed out last week. Elections staff in Hastings Highlands are now working on revisions to the voters’ list.
If you are voting in Hastings Highlands and have not received your letter by October 1, or need to make a correction, you’re being asked to please call 613-338-2811 or visit the municipal office to update your information on the voters’ list.
