Lowe’s Closing 31 Underperforming Stores Across Canada, Bancroft Not Included

Bancroft won’t be affected by Lowe’s closing down 31 stores across Canada.

Only two of the locations closing are branded as Lowe’s the rest are branded as RONA. The Quebec-based store was bought by Lowe’s in 2016.

Shane Card, Manager of the RONA in Bancroft, says they will not be affected by this because they are privately owned. When speaking with My Bancroft Now, he says that the stores being closed are corporate stores.

Lowe’s has 2,390 stores across North America, with 630 of them being in Canada. Along with the 31 locations being closed in Canada, another 20 are being closed in the States.

Lowe’s says they plan on keeping the stores that are being closed in Canada open until the end of February 2019.
