UPDATE #2, 11/13: One person involved in the two-vehicle collision has died. The OPP now say it was a three-vehicle collision. They say in a press release that several people were taken to hospital including a 39-year-old man from Gilmour. That man was later taken to Kingston General Hospital with serious injuries. It was reported Monday morning by Central Hastings OPP that he had died.
UPDATE #1, 11/09: The OPP say the portion of Highway 62 that was closed has now been re-opened.
The OPP have closed a portion of Highway 62 near Madoc.
It has been closed in both directions between Crookston Road and Preston Road. They have not announced a re-opening time.
The two-vehicle collision happened around 1 PM at Highway 62 and Quin-mo-lac Road.
The investigation is on-going.
