People’s Party of Canada Sets up Riding Association in Hastings-Lennox and Addington

A new political party is looking to set-up shop in the area in time for the upcoming federal election.

The People’s Party of Canada, led by former Conservative Party leadership candidate Maxime Bernier, has set-up a riding association in Hastings-Lennox and Addington. He left the party in September.

Caleb Voskamp, Co-Regional Organizer with the People’s Party of Canada, says that Elections Canada still needs to approve the electoral district associations. That’s expected to be done sometime in December.

Voskamp says they will start looking for candidates beginning the in the new year. “The plan is to have candidates for the next election in every single riding in Canada,” Voskamp says.
