A young Bancroft skater has earned her chance in the spotlight.
Annika Dale is in grade eight at York River Public School and a member of the Bancroft Skating Club. She is one of only 133 kids from across the country chosen to perform at this summer’s Cirque du Soleil production for the opening ceremony of the Pan Am games in Toronto.
Her mother Tracey Dale says the audition process was like something you would see on TV.
The family is working with local organizations to hold fundraisers around town to help cover travel costs.
