Residents Being Asked to Stay Off Snowmobile Trails

You’re being warned to stay off the trails.

John Cummings, the President the Paudash Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club, is asking residents to stay off the trails until further notice. “With the warm spell we’re getting right now the snow is saturated and anyone riding a sled down them right now will do some damage,” he says.

The Maple Leaf Snow Skimmers have been able to open up trail B106E, but it is still at limited availability. No other trails in the area are currently open.

Cummings says he doesn’t have an exact timeline for when he expects the trails will be back open. “We’ll open them again when they’re safe to ride,” he added.

To stay up-to-date with the condition of the trails, check out the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club’s interactive trail guide.
