A family dispute turned into an assault in Hastings Highlands.
It happened on December 26th when Bancroft OPP responded to a family dispute in Hastings Highlands.
The complaint was at the neighbour’s house when officers arrived. He told them he had been assaulted at his home. Officers then went to the complaint’s residence to speak with the suspect, but the suspect became aggressive and uncooperative with officers. While being put under arrest, the male suspect continued to assault officers.
As a result, a 37-year-old Hastings Highlands resident has been charged with:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Resist peace officer
- Three counts of uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
- Mischief under $5,000
- Assault on a peace officer
He is currently being held pending his bail hearing in Belleville.
