Faraday Township to Hold Another Public Meeting About Proposed Quarry

The quarry process continues to move forward.

Faraday Township will hold another meeting about the proposed quarry on January 9th at the Faraday Community Centre. It will run for an hour from 11 AM until Noon.

The meeting is being held to get more input from the public on the acoustic assessment report and the blasting impact report. The results of the peer review weren’t finalized before the last meeting was held in September.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting. If you can’t attend and want to make a written submission, you’re being asked to submit it to Justin Harrow, the Director of Planning and Development with Hastings County, by emailing him at [email protected] or calling him at 613-966-1311. You can also send your written submission to Dawn Switzer, the Clerk, Treasurer and Tax Collector for the Township, by emailing her at [email protected] or calling her at 613-332-3638.

More information about the meeting can be found on the Township’s website. Like the meeting held last year, no decisions will be made at this meeting.
