Remember to Clean All The Snow Off of Your Vehicle

The OPP is reminding drivers to clean the snow off their vehicles.

The Highway Traffic Act says you have to be able to clearly see out of your front, side and rear windows at all times. The fine for not cleaning off your vehicle is $110. Officers are the ones that decide what ‘clearly’ means.

“You have got to be able to see where you’re going,” says Bancroft OPP Constable Philippe Regamey. That means cleaning all the snow off of your car, not just a small space on your windshield, he adds.

“The more you can see, the more chance you have to be able to see what’s going on,” Regamey goes on to say about the importance of keeping your windows clear of snow and ice.
