He adds that the resident did not provide any information and hung up before calling The Old Tin Shed to let them know what happened. Regamey says no information is known at this as to who the suspect may be. The Old Tin Shed says some customers have been victimized by a scammer. They posted on their Facebook page saying that customers have called them saying that scammers are calling people impersonating The Old Tin Shed. They say they are asking for credit card numbers. “Please note that we do not have an 800 number, that is what was on the display on the phone,” they say in their Facebook post. They say they have reported this to the police. In past scam situations, the OPP has told My Bancroft Now it’s important to always verify who you are speaking with. If all else fails, the best thing to do is to hang up the phone.
