The Peterborough County-City Health Unit is warning residents that a strike could happen as soon as Friday if a deal isn’t reached between the board and two unions. If the health unit’s eighty-five unionized workers strike, areas like health inspections, dental care and health nursing will be affected. It says it would be open from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and that a list of reduced services would be posted online. In the event of a strike, security will be outside the building to keep strikers and patients safe.
