Ontario’s autoworkers are coming together to support the GM Oshawa plant.
Unifor is reportedly busing in the workers from across the province to rally in Windsor today near the GM HQ in Detroit. The latest protest comes after GM rejected proposals from Unifor to keep the plant open past 2019.

The provincial lawyer says despite being repealed, teachers are still allowed to pull resources from the 2015 document. However, Doug Ford previously threatened reprimand against any teachers who did this and set up an anonymous tip line for parents. A panel of judges will decide if the rollback violates constitutional rights.

Healthcare costs in Ontario still soaring due to bed shortage

A CityNews investigation found the province spent up to $1 million in one day last year for additional long-term care beds. In response, the Ford Government has said it’s providing 15,000 new long-term care spaces over the next five years, already moving forward with 6,000 now.

Authorities say the sales director was arrested along with a Polish resident over spying allegations. The arrest comes after Huawei’s CFO was detained in Canada under accusations of breaking trade laws in the US. China has threatened retaliation against Canada for the arrest.

Walmart Canada is pulling a bomb-defusing game from its shelves.
The game called ‘Cut the Wire’ has been widely criticized in both Canada and the US for its connection to terrorist-related incidents. CBC News reports Walmart has no plans to reorder the game once its current stock runs out. The game is still available for purchase on Amazon.
