Toronto Men Charged for Hunting Offences Near Bancroft

Four Toronto men have been fined a total of close to $5,000 for hunting offences near Bancroft.  They appeared in Bancroft court last week.  The first man pleaded guilty to hunting white-tailed deer illegally, having dead wildlife and using someone else’s licence.  He was fined, his firearm was taken away and he has been suspended from hunting for one year.  The second pleaded guilty and was fined for using another hunter’s licence and illegally transporting a dead animal.  The final two received fines after pleading guilty to letting someone else use their hunting licences.  The court says the offences happened while the men were hunting in the Bancroft area in November of last year.
