Bancroft’s delegation made many recommendations at this year’s Rural Ontario Municipal Conference, including calling for an early review of the York River Water Management Plan. Mayor Bernice Jenkins opened Tuesday’s council meeting with a recap of the group’s meeting with Glen Murray, Ontario’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change.
She says the minister agreed that the early review is necessary, given that flood season is approaching.
