There won’t be a strike at Peterborough’s health unit anytime soon. It took the Peterborough County-City Health Unit and ONA members a day of bargaining, but a tentative agreement has been reached. It was announced at Wednesday night’s Board of Health meeting that the three-year contract will include annual salary increases of 0.5 percent, 0.5 percent and three percent for workers. Officials say the agreement will help avoid service reductions at the health unit.
